Wellness One Day Surgery Center
JOB PURPOSE
(a) The receptionist plays an important role as is often the first face-to-face contact for families/carers and other members of the child/young person’s network. The receptionist, therefore, should ensure that the young person’s experience with clinical services is efficient, effective, responsive and sensitive to their needs, and promotes the good image of the service.
(b) The post-holder will be required to provide administrative support by typing (copy/ audio) correspondence and reports, as well as performing other administrative duties.
(c) Managing and overseeing the administrative component of the patient database, i.e. inputting referral and patient information, monitoring and updating operational data quality, etc.

Education and Qualifications:
1) Bachelor Degree

1) Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
2) Excellent Interpersonal Skills
3) Confident telephone manner
4) Excellent copy typing (40 words per minute or above)
5) Accurate grammar, spelling and punctuation
6) Ability to plan, prioritize and multi task
7) Effective Time management skills
8) Ability to work with limited supervision
Experience:
1) Experience in dealing with the public face to face and via telephone
2) Experience of administrative/ secretarial procedures
Understanding & Knowledge
1) Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook and Word
2) Awareness of Data Protection and Confidentiality
3) Understanding of Racial Awareness and Diversity
