Script
What do you know about games?
I’m about to open your mind to games.
First let’s start with the definiations what’s gaming and a
gamer
Gamer: a person who plays a game or games, typically a
participant in a computer or role-playing game
Game: an activity that one engages in for amusement.
This video is for gamers and those who want to become one.
The history of video games goes as far back as the early 1950s,
when academics began designing simple games as part of their computer science
research – video gaming became popular at 1970 – 1980 when arcade video games came out
Like pong: the
very first sports arcade video game. It is a tennis sports game featuring simple two-dimensional graphics the aim is to defeat
an opponent in a simulated table-tennis game by earning a higher score. It was one of the first video games
to reach mainstream popularity.
Gaming
consoles like Xbox PlayStation and home
computer games were introduced to the general public. Since
then, video gaming has become a popular form of entertainment and a part of modern
culture in most parts of the world.
Games in UAE : Dubai continues to position itself as a major
hub for online and video games industry in the Middle East and worldwide. With
more than $ 100 million in revenues from the online gaming industry in the
Middle East, experts revealed that the United Arab Emirates has a big share in
this industry especially after it was ranked 5th largest in the Middle East for
internet usage. The online gaming industry is at its highest among the rest and
experts are expecting this number to double in the coming few years. 9-10
Is playing video games good or bad for you? It can be both.
Video games are frowned upon by parents as time-wasters, and
worse, some education experts think that these games corrupt the brain.
Playing violent video games are easily blamed by the media and some experts as
the reason why some young people become violent or commit extreme anti-social
behavior. 11
But many scientists and psychologists find that video games
can actually have many benefits – the main one is making kids smart.
Video games may actually teach kids high-level thinking skills that they will
need in the future. Good.

Another case that has less to do with being hamstrung by addiction and more to do with being damaged goods and having easy access to firearms. In 2007, seventeen-year-old Daniel Petric couldn't deal with getting his copy of Halo 3 taken away, and instead of being miserable like all 17-year-olds
Unlocking
the family's gun safe and removing its 9mm pistol, Petric returned to his
parents' bedroom and told them to close their eyes because he had a surprise
for them. He fired and hit both in the head. His father survived, but his
mother sadly died for his idiocy. The judge
sentenced him to life in prison
Before I wrap things up I want to give some
advices for gamers: This practical advice — 5 key guidelines, plus
2 quick rules — is scientifically backed, and it can be summed up in a single
sentence:
Play games you enjoy no more than
21 hours a week; face-to-face with friends and
family as often
as you can; and in co-operative or creator modes whenever possible.
